DESCRIPTION:Jam 4 James Benefit Show \n\nJosh Hoyer\nCole Eisenmenger & Friends\nMitch Gettman Band\nStathi\nPowder Blue\n\n$25 suggested donation at the door for admission \n\nJames Gettman was admitted to Children’s Nebraska on August 12th\, 2025 for dehydration and it didn’t take long for doctors to discover a lot of abnormalities. After 2 days of multiple tests with no answers he went in for a full body MRI. The family was notified about an hour later that his vitals had dropped after he was given anesthesia\, so they abruptly stopped the MRI and sent him up to the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit). His stomach was very extended and hard and the doctors informed us that he needed to have an emergency\, exploratory\, high risk abdominal surgery to see what was going on.\n\nAfter surgery we were told that they discovered James had NEC (Necrotizing Enterocolitis) and they had to remove two sections of dying bowels. There’s always a risk when going into surgery and James’ right leg formed a blood clot when the arterial line was put in and blood flow was cut off.\n\nOn 8/17 he had another surgery where the doctors found more dying bowel and in multiple sections. He was left with a jujostomy bag and a stent line running through his intestines. The following week\, there were complications with his hemoglobin levels dropping that led to 2 more abdominal surgeries over the weekend to fix the cause of internal bleeding in his stomach.\n\nUnfortunately\, he never gained blood flow again in his right leg and on September 3rd\, they amputated the majority of his right leg. He is healing really well now from all of his surgeries and hasn’t lost his spunk in the slightest. He continues to show everyone what strength and resilience looks like.\n\nAll donations go to support James’s family and his future medical needs. They have a long road ahead but everyone’s support will help them along the way!!!
