COVID Testing
Iowa and Nebraska have launched an effort to ramp up Covid-19 testing. Click on the link that applies to the state you live in. Fill out the questionaire. They will notify you of whether or not you should get tested and if so, they will help you to set up an appointment.
If you feel sick
Contact your health provider Learn what you can about COVID and its symptoms from the Centers for Disease Control. You should stay home if you have symptoms (coughing, fever, shortness of breath).
Disinfect and practice proper hygiene
Get into the habit of washing your hands thoroughly and consistently after bathroom breaks or contact with high-touch items such as doorknobs. Avoid close contact with any people showing signs of respiratory illness; maintain at least a 6-foot distance. Remember to wear your mask!

- Domestc Violence -There has been an increase in domestic violence cases since self-quarantining began. The risk is higher during these stressful times with the COVID-19 Pandemic and self quarantining. - Child Abuse & Neglect -The risk is higher during these stressful times with the COVID-19 Pandemic and self quarantining. In Nebraska help is available against child abuse and neglect, on line by clicking on Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect or by phone at 1-800-652-1999. - Food Bank For The Heartland -Food Bank For The Heartland is the largest food bank in Nebraska & Iowa. Serving 93 counties in 2 states. Find out how where you can pick or up food in the metro. You can help those in need by donating your time as a volunteer and more.
- The Salvation Army -is providing pantry orders. Anyone in need may pick up a food box at the Burrows Center, 6101 NW Radial Highway, Open Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Friday, 9 am - 11 am and 1 pm - 3:30 pm. More information at 402-898-5860.
- American Red Cross -Severe blood shortage, due to Coronavirus outbreak. Donors urgently needed, you can schedule an appointment, now.
- Methodist Health System - has created a phone line to address the need for mental and emotional support during this pandemic. it can be acessed by dialing (402) 815-8255 and is available from 7am until 7pm.
- American Cancer Society - has a 24/7 helpline 1-800-227-2345 for support, and to answer any questions needed. Cancer patients, families, and caregivers can find the answers to any Covid-19 questions you may have. Click on the link above.
- Convalescent Plasma Donor - LifeServe Blood Center, the sole provider of blood to more than 120 hospitals across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, is seeking community members who have tested positive for COVID-19 or have COVID-19 antibodies to donate convalescent plasma to meet the dramatically rising plasma needs of local hospitals.
