  • Domestc Violence – The risk is higher during these stressful times with the COVID-19 Pandemic.  In Nebraska help is available against domestic violence, on line by clicking on Nebraska Coalition or by phone at 1-800-799-7233.   • Child Abuse & Neglect -The risk is higher during these stressful times with the COVID-19 Pandemic.  In Nebraska help is available against child abuse and neglect, on line by clicking on Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect or by phone at 1-800-652-1999.  In Iowa help is available against child abuse and neglect, on line by clicking on Iowa Child Abuse/Neglect or by phone at 1-800-362-2178

How You Can Get Or Provide HELP!!!

  • Food Bank For The Heartland -Food Bank For The Heartland is the largest food bank in Nebraska & Iowa.  Serving 93 counties in 2 states.  Find out how where you can pick or up food in the metro. You can help those in need by donating your time as a volunteer and more.  
  • The Salvation Army – More information at 402-898-5860. 
  • American Red Cross -Severe blood shortage, due to Coronavirus outbreak.  Donors urgently needed, you can schedule an appointment, now.
  • Methodist Health System – has created a phone line to address the need for mental and emotional support during this pandemic. it can be accessed by dialing (402) 815-8255 and is available from 7am until 7pm.
  • American Cancer Society – has a 24/7 helpline 1-800-227-2345 for support, and to answer any questions needed. Cancer patients, families, and caregivers can find the answers to any Covid-19 questions you may have.  Click on the link above. 
  • Convalescent Plasma Donor –  LifeServe Blood Center, the sole provider of blood to more than 120 hospitals across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, is seeking community members who have tested positive for COVID-19 or have COVID-19 antibodies to donate convalescent plasma to meet the dramatically rising plasma needs of local hospitals.
